Hmmm...wonder what happened to this post/thread. I dunno. It looks just gone. ? I'll just keep it going, anyway, I guess. I began attempting to lose some weight after watching a tv show. (Long story.) 1200 calories a day is what I shoot for. I'm not religious about it. I just keep that number in mind as I decide what I want to eat throughout the day. It's worked! I lost 15 pounds with pretty much NO effort. I slipped up for a couple weeks and gained a few pounds back...but gee. If just keeping a number in mind did that, I'm pretty impressed. (I ate well, too. No suffering. We don't eat meat when at home, so nothing much changed there. I think it was my breakfast of fruit yogurt, and scrambled eggs for some meals...and lots of veggies. I still ate all the other stuff I would normally eat, I think. Maybe it was quantity restraint. Not sure. But it wasn't hard at all for me to come in around 1200. I THINK. I didn't track any of it or think too hard on it.)

Nice. Weight loss without much effort!!! I cut out wheat, dairy, and sugar late summer but wasn’t too terribly strict about it. Still, I lost 8 pounds in 4 months. I fell off the wagon big time over the last 2 weeks, but am getting back on track. Surprised at how much better I feel when I don’t eat wheat, though, and not too pleased about it but I find that I can have small amounts occasionally and it doesn’t kill me...

Yeah, I've fallen off the wagon big time lately. We moved and as you probably know already, that means WHO CAN COOK IN THIS MESS?? LET'S EAT OUT!

I would like to say that I have a complicated history with diets. After a diet, I always gained the weight back, so I just don't trust them. I was on a calorie deficit, and I tried to make sure my body got everything it needed, but it's hard without being in harmony with myself.
