Bring hibiscus flowers and water to a boil, remove from the heat, cover, steep until cooled, about 30 minutes, strain. Store concentrate in a 1 quart Mason jar. One-Half gallon - Mix4 cups concentrate, 4 cups cold water and 1/4 cup sugar in a half-gallon pitcher. Taste, add more sugar or water, if needed. One serving - use a 1:1 concentrate-water ratio, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Serve over ice, refrigerate the concentrate.
