I've been accessing youtube in Chrome with no issues. Yesterday, when I typed in youtube in search bar (using chrome) --- the YT page would show up but just with basically the YT logo, not videos, no trending videos, nada, basically a blank screen.
I assumed YT down.
I go to Internet explorer (oh its actually Edge now), type it in search bar, pops up with no prob.
I did a search, and others mentioned same thing (but not specific to right now), some solutions I saw, I didn't see how to access.
Anyone have this issue with chrome before. I haven't done anything (that I'm aware of at least, ha) -- before this.
Reporting in: Chrome user here, Windows 10, 64 bit.... no problems with Utube. I've been using it lots for last 3-4 weeks...watching drawing and painting videos whenever I get a spare minute. Had it on lots until a few hours ago today. Had it on late last night, too. There are zillions of Utube videos that teach art--you name the kind. Love it! I used to have to go to classes...and now, I feel like I've been through a few years worth of them in just a few weeks.
I hadn't heard that others were having problems. I wonder why some are. Must be some glitch lately?
I've found, many times, just closing down everything and shutting down, then booting back up fixes stuff. It's usually the very last thing, of course, that I think of to DO, but it almost always works.
I've been using Chrome for years and some Mozilla Firefox.

Hi catbatty, I corrected my post... when I looked online, there were posts that some were having some issue but they weren't specific to right now. It was working fine up until a day ago, I can't think I did anything, wasn't like I decided to clean up my computer and decided to delete things. On purpose that is.
So good that you are finding vids that you enjoy -- to say that there is a video for most everything is an understatement. Thx
OH, it just dawned on me. You are getting there, usually, by searching for Utube. I wonder if it's the search tool itself that is having a glitch. You might want to just type in 'www.utube.com' and see if THAT takes you there. I think that's how I usually get there. (I know I have in the past...lately I just keep utube open.) I've never gotten there by doing a search. Perhaps try a different search tool. I bet the two, the search and the site itself, are having some cross/switch glitch. Oh...I made that up. Has a nice ring. Cross-Switch-Glitch! YES, that's it. I'd try just going to the utube website directly. THAT will get you there... I'd lay money on it. Or a cupcake.

Same thing happens whether I type directly in search bar or just type in youtube in say a google search or even call up a youtube channel etc that I had saved in my favorites folder etc. When the website pulls up/opens I just get the words youtube and a logo in upper left.
Maybe I have some older version of something, missing a plugin, an update or something, yada yada.
In Chrome...at top of screen...all the way to the right...I clicked, a dropdown had HELP towards the bottom, I clicked on that, one of the items that opened said: about Chrome (or something like that). I clicked on that and it told me I have an up-to-date version of Chrome: Version 65.0.3325.181 (Official Build) (64-bit) You could do same, it might even offer an update. I dunno. Worth checking. (BTW: I did a search for utube...it took me to a list...top of list was utube link...I clicked on that and it took me to a full page utube screen. Nothing not there, I mean. I mean: it's all there.) Hope this helps.
