I changed my system for labeling homemade freezer meals. It used to be "Meatloaf", "Pot Roast", "Steak & Veggies", "Chicken & Dumplings", or "Beef Pot Pie."
I always got so frustrated when I asked my husband what he wanted for dinner. He never asked for any of them! So, I have re-stocked our freezer with the meals he really likes.
Now, there is a whole new set of labels. Dinners marked with neat little tags that say: "Whatever," "Anything," "I Don't Know, "I Don't Care," "Something Good," or "Food." My frustration has been totally reduced because no matter what my husband replies when I ask him what he wants for dinner, I know that it is there -- just waiting.

HAHAHA but seriously, I'd love to have a freezer filled with labeled freezer meals!! OMG. That would be heaven. Instead, I have bags of things that look like frozen wet pet food or worse (a dark, hazy, very unappetizing mass) and I haven't a clue what they are. I also have similar in freezer containers. However: Once in a while, I'll find one that looks vaguely familiar and has a bit of (CLUE) color. For instance, if there is any pinkness to it, I usually decide it's some kind of fruit; if any hint of green, I decide it's probably a vegetable and I then put it back to 'store' for awhile longer.
