Hello everyone, I want to ask you that what your favorite sweet dish is? I have many favorites, such as french toast, brownie, cupcake and carrot sweet pudding (also called Gajar ka halwa). Now, it's your turn.

I like lemony things and chocolate things. Chocolate Mousse was something I ate almost every day when I lived in Paris.

Ice cream. homemade mocha latte flavor. also cherries Garcia. jamoca almond fudge. dark chocolate and coffee flavors are my favorite. doesn't even have to be that rich. too much fat dulls the flavors for me. I am enjoying a bite of healthy choice fudge bars right now.

Too funny traildoggie....I just finished a HC fudge bar. I love those things and bonus that it is a lighter item (although hardly healthy, I am sure). That being said, I don't have a huge sweet tooth but do love ice cream and cookies. However, I am fussy about my cookie choices. I will guiltily admit, however, to a fondness for Oreos, but only original flavor will do for me. The others....blech....and I have tried a lot of them. I think the only other packaged cookie I indulge in once in awhile are mallomars and that is a funny story. My father loved them whereas I had always despised them. He could not get them in Wisconsin so I would bring him boxes every winter. On the 1st year anniversary of his death, I decided to eat one in his memory and got hooked ever since then!

That's a sweet story Karen - no pun intended Unfortunately, I love sugar but try not to eat sweets too often. I'm not a big chocolate fan (although I do eat it) and prefer caramel and butterscotch-y things. While not caramel or butterscotch, my grandmother made the best banana cream pie and I still long for it. She topped it with meringue instead of cream - I loved that pie and could have eaten a whole one by myself. Sure wish I had the recipe.

I haven' looked closely on the stats for HC fudge bars. I like the fruit juice bars in summer especially the tangy ones. I get one bite of the fudge bar one DH has. I am doing WW not with any great success so I cut back where I can. I have eaten one entire bar once. I love good, dense ice cream. I don't eat the fluffy stuff with the air pumped into it. too sweet, bad texture and not worth the calories. I used to like ice milk/soft serve, whatever it's called but have not had it in ages. there are probably lots more I would like, but if I don't buy it, I don't miss it. I like homemade cookies, brownies, biscotti. no commercial baked goods. there is some ingredient I can detect a mile away that I find repellant. it must be a preservative or something. I can taste and smell it immediately and won't eat whatever it is.
for holidays, a bit of Baileys hits the spot nicely.
karenw I never had a mallomar. I'm sure it's a cookie but that's all I know. maybe it was a Wisconsin thing.

Ice cream! Right now my #1 favorite is mochi ice cream where mochi (a coating made from pounded rice-thin, sort of stretchy, weirdly wonderful) is wrapped around balls of ice cream and frozen. My current fav is made with plum wine ice cream, following closely by coffee and dark chocolate ice creams.

Traildoggie-I think mallomars are more of an East coast thing but don't quote me on that. That is why my dad had such a hard time finding them in Wisc. I live on East coast now and he was in WI. They are seasonal, that I do know. They are only available from fall through the winter months. I think that has something to do with the chocolate coating in the hotter months. They are graham cookie base with a marshmallow topping coated in a thin shell of dark chocolate. So kinda like a s'more, I guess. I probably hated them as a kid because I really did not like chocolate esp. dark chocolate then. Unfortunately, my pregnancies led to a lot of changes in my taste buds starting with my very first craving which was chocolate pudding, something I had always hated. Fortunately I never went back to liking chocolate pudding but I did develop a small liking to some forms of chocolate in small amts! I think Whippets are another cookie similar to mallomar. I have seen them but never had one. It would not be the same or worth it to me because dad only ate mallomars! Anyway, aside from these (and oreos), I am like you and generally stick to homemade cookies. Karen

Love ice cream but I usually go for a frozen yogurt instead. I prefer getting it from local stores in my around for their homemade fro yo -- not saying i would pass on a pint from the supermarket, Coffee mocha chip is a favorite.
Traildoggie -- what no Mallomars? Maybe more of an east coast think like Karen said. The cookie of choice growing up were Mallomars, Nabisco Sugar Wafers and black and white cookies (from the bakery) I would sometimes toast the marshmallow part of the mallomar on the stove as a kid for more of smore taste. I haven't had a mallomar in years and we would devour one of those sleeves (I still remember those thin boxes with the wax paper lining) in no time.
Like a good apple dessert. What a surprise.
A good slice of chocolate cake and .......

That's a complicated question to answer. During summer I love strawberries in Grand Mariner. During apple season I make apple crisps and bake apple cakes - recent favorite contains dark rum. Chocolate bars, but I'm very picky. Same with chocolate cake. Ice cream? Yes, if it's strawberry. IKEA sells small individual Swedish Princess Cakes in the freezer section. In lieu of the real deal they are very good. If I see bread pudding on a restaurant menu I make sure to save room for dessert.
